i did nothing to this last picture; the colors were just that awesome. i have a feeling with a little larger f/stop or a little more light i could have gotten some really great pictures.
both sets were exactly the same, which was kind of sad, but still awesome because i could listen to them play the same songs over and over again and not get tired of it. really.
they didn't play as tall as cliffs or the payphone rings (and becomes extinct) or the ocean (is bleeding salt) [one day i hope to hear the song "jolene, we almost never met" played, but i'm not holding my breath for that], but they did play all of the other classics (skeleton key, quiet as a mouse, on a freezing chicago street, broadripple's burning) as well as some great new ones (new york city hotel blues #3, junked out german motor car, at the carnival). it made me really excited for the new album to come out.
every margot show i've been to in the last 3 years they've had the original artwork from dust of retreat for sale, and every time i've wanted to buy something but haven't. i finally got one! it's called "don't ship wreck, follow fish":

i have a feeling that one day i'm going to be even happier than i already am that i bought that.
or sculpting.
